Yoga Stretching

What does this remind you of?  I am picturing nap time in kindergarten!!!  Remember when we used to take naps in school?  Well, these students are not napping, but they are doing a relaxing technique called Savasana.  At the end of our stretching, the students lay and relax different parts of their bodies.  They close their eyes and just RELAX!  So much of our day is go, go go!  This is a time for the students to take some breaths and refocus after recess and lunch.  Most of the students really embrace this activity and they admit that it helps them get ready to learn.
